Fantasia is a leading multi-directional fashion accessory company based in New York City. With over 40 years of experience, we have become widely known for our expertise in every retail market segment from the finest specialty stores to the largest mass merchants.
We offer branded, licensed, and private-label collections in each of our divisions. Collections are merchandised and designed to complement each channel of distribution’s needs. Product categories covered include fashion handbags, belts, hair accessories, hats, scarves, cold weather accessories, eyewear, personal care, and beauty items in a wide age range from toddler to tween, junior to contemporary.
Fantasia is structured to leverage all its resources; trend direction, design, sourcing, distribution, and financing from all of its divisions to bring to market the finest in quality, trend, and value for our retail partners.
Idea
Project Goals
Conduct market research and utilize trend forecasting methods to create engaging B2C Product and Package designs of accessories, personal care, and beauty items for a range of customers from toddler to tween and junior.
Contextualize mood boards, style guides, and illustrations showcasing seasonal themes and trends, as well as product mock-ups, line sheets, production mechanicals, and prototypes.
Lead the vision and development of visually compelling engaging Product and Package designs to extend existing product lines, and innovate new product lines for a variety of mass-level retail clients such as Walmart, Marmaxx, Children’s Place, HEB, Hot Topic, and Disney.
Develop and maintain brand guidelines and visual identities including the development of mood boards, color palettes, typography, graphics, and other visual elements.

Market Research: Begin by conducting comprehensive market research to understand current trends, consumer preferences, and competitor offerings in the fashion accessory, personal care, and beauty industries. Analyze data from various sources including industry reports, consumer surveys, and trend forecasting agencies.
Client Analysis: Gain insights into the needs, preferences, and brand identities of Fantasia's diverse range of retail clients, including Walmart, Marmaxx, Children’s Place, HEB, Hot Topic, and Disney. Understand their target demographics, market positioning, and specific requirements for product design.
Brand Immersion: Immerse in Fantasia's brand identity, values, and design aesthetic. Familiarize yourself with past product lines, visual assets, and brand guidelines to ensure consistency and alignment with the company's overall vision.

Trend Forecasting: Utilize trend forecasting methods to identify emerging themes, colors, patterns, and materials relevant to the target market segments. Stay updated on seasonal trends and cultural influences that may impact product design.
Concept Development: Generate creative concepts for product and package designs that resonate with Fantasia's target customers and reflect the identified trends and themes. Explore a range of ideas through sketching, digital renderings, and mood boards.
Client Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Fantasia's retail clients to understand their specific design preferences, product requirements, and brand guidelines. Incorporate client feedback and input into the ideation process to ensure alignment with their expectations.

Visual Development: Translate selected concepts into visually compelling product designs, package designs, and brand identities. Create mood boards, style guides, illustrations, and prototypes that showcase seasonal themes, trends, and proposed product lines.
Technical Design: Develop detailed line sheets, production mechanicals, and specifications for manufacturing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to finalize product designs and packaging solutions.
Brand Guidelines: Establish and maintain brand guidelines and visual identities for Fantasia and its retail clients. Define mood boards, color palettes, typography, graphics, and other visual elements that reflect the brand's identity and resonate with the target audience.
